Testosterone
Testosterone is one of the two main Androgens (male sex hormones) produced
in the testes and by the adrenal cortex. Testosterone is responsible for
libido, sexual vitality, male sex characteristics, increased muscle mass
and strength, and distribution of fat.
After age 35, most males begin to see a gradual decline in their testosterone levels.
When a man is low in this hormone,
he may experience many of the following symptoms:
Andropause
Decreased Vitality
Depression
Early senility
Ejaculatory problems
Erectile dysfunction
Fatigue
Gynecomastia (male breast growth)
Heart Disease / Atherosclerosis

your needs and to try to help restore your youthful vitality. Testosterone
can be compounded in a variety of delivery systems
by the experienced pharmacists and technicians in Axium's Balanced Solutions Division.
DHEA
DHEA is the second of the two main androgens. It is recognized for its
ability to reduce the incidence of osteoporosis, increase libido, alter
fat distribution (decreases deposition of fat in the abdominal area), improve
the body's and brain's ability to relax and develop regular sleep
patterns, as well as being supportive of the immune system. At present,
DHEA can be sold over the counter and Axium carries a pharmaceutical grade
DHEA supplement.
The licensed medical professionals at Axium Healthcare's Balanced Solutions
Division are experienced in helping men identify
natural ways which may help to slow the aging process. We begin by doing
a private comprehensive consultation, and at the end of the hour you will
have a plan of action that may include changing your lifestyle. Our experienced
professionals will discuss the rationale and provide solid physiology for
each recommendation they make. Recommended changes may include: diet, exercise,
smoking cessation, alcohol ingestion reduction, stress management, and
nutraceutical supplementation.
Consult first with your primary care physician to ensure that the Axium
program is appropriate for your needs. The Axium program is designed to
complement, but not substitute for, a consultation with your primary care
physician.
